Anybody taken the antibiotic Ceftin?!
Question: If you have, what did you think of it? I was reading the side effects on WebMD and some of them sound kind of scary. I took it a few hours ago and I haven't noticed any major problems with it. What's been your experience with it?

I am a physician who has prescribed Ceftin, a second generation (wider spectrum than first generation) cephalosporin antibiotic, for years with good results.
The side effects are minimal and rarely a problem. Occasionally, people are allergic to it. And it will make you sick if you combine it with alcohol. But for most purposes, it is a good antibiotic and a good choice for respiratory (bronchitis, sinusitis, otitis), bladder, skin infections, gonorrhea and Lyme disease
Don't be afraid of it. Or, for comparison, look up aspirin. It's just as scary. All package inserts are frightening.
