Maybe you are not reacting to the medication and you need to get something different...I would think anything that would take care of a uti would also take care of a kidney infection! Also if you like cranberry juice drink it it helps. I had a real bad UTI/kidney infection when I was pregnent and they said DRINK WATER and lots of it I was in the hospital and they gave me BIG glasses of water and came in and checked to see if I was drinking it like every 15 and when one was done they got me some more!

maybe you have something else like a kidney infection.

Go to walk in clinic immediately may be side effect of mediaction. If your doctor isn't willing to see you promptly than find a different one. He's no good!

try drinking some cranberry juice with no sugar added. that really helps the kidneys and urinary tract

Get your urine culture report and proceed. Drink plenty of water and take any alkaliser. Increase your will-power.

Go see your doctor, you may simply need a different antibiotic.

Hello. The medication obviously isn't working so it's good that you are seeing your doctor again. In the meantime drink as much as you can.(Not alcohol) Better to stay off the tea and coffee also as these are diuretics. Hope this helps. Mel.

you really have to go back to your doctor immediately..

He guy state of mind kills a lot of people due to what they think, and mined u that when u are thinking u are making things worse.just pray.

Like some of the other answers here, it appears the antibiotic is not working for you. My daughter had over 20 UTI's as a toddler, and she simply became "resistent" to the popular antibiotics prescribed, so they had to put her on something different, but unfortunately, more expensive.

Also (you may a already doing this) there is an over-the-counter urinary tract pain reliever, that I consider to be invaluable when you have a UTI. AZO products will help relieve the pain and discomfort until the antibiotic kicks in. I keep this medication in my purse at all times, just in case.
