Smoker's cough?!

Question: I've been smoking for about six months, and my quit date is January 19th. I have recently developed the famous "smoker's cough" and I am wondering if it goes away after you quit smoking, and stick to not smoking for an extended period of time?

Sure does. And foods smell and taste better. You feel cleaner. You feel good about yourself and lots of other good things await you.
Good luck,
Hope

Yes it does go away. I had a really bad smokers cough, I quit 2 years ago, no coughing now whatsoever.

It does go away. The cough is caused by chronic bronchitis and is due to the irritation that is caused from the smoke. The things that you need to watch out for is the feeling that you will have in your lungs as the inflammation goes down. This is confused with a craving that will also be present. I would not try to quit without Chantix.

Hi, I smoked for 43 yrs and I've been completely quit for 13 months and don't cough one bit anymore!
