Heart rate rises despite exercise?!

Question: I used to run about 6 miles a day and got a lot better over a year. But after a year, i started getting noticeably worse and my average resting heart rate started rising. Now it's to the point where I can't run half a mile without becoming tired. I tried taking a break from running and coming back to it, but my condition hasn't gotten any better.

My current heart rate while lying down is 60. Sitting down is 85. And standing up is 120. I also noticed my arm runs out of ATP quickly after squeezing something very hard and it takes about four times longer for it to replenish than it used to.

Soo my question is: can anyone tell me what might be wrong with me?

It is possible that you may have had an existing mild cardiomyopathy. It can often cause no symptoms for years, but intensive training may make it worse. The variation between lying, sitting and standing heart rate is quite marked and I think it would be a good idea to stop any prolonged physical exertion until you have seen a cardiologist and have an echocardiogram - this is different from and ECG/EKG and can visualise the structure of the heart.

Depending how you were training, it could just be fatigue.
