Cannot Have Wheat, Dairy or Sugar - Help!?!

Question: i'm 18 and female. i recently started going to a natural medicine doctor and had an ALCAT food allergy panel. most of what i'm allergic to are things i eat almost everyday. i don't have reactions, like hives, to anything. so far all i've noticed is that when i have dairy, my stomach hurts. apparently, i am also allergic to the following....

severely - pecans; moderately - yeast, cashews, cauliflower, cow's milk, grapes, green peas, green peppers, millet, mustard, pineapple, salmon, shrimp, snapper, sole, summer squash, tuna, gluten, wheat, oats, rye and barley!

these are things i (used to) eat a lot that i'm going to add into my 4 day rotation: beef, potatoes, turkey, corn, broccoli, and rice. and by the way, i'm from kansas, so i was raised on beef and potatoes and am very sad i can't eat them anymore! :(

SO now my doctor said i cannot have any type of dairy, grain or sugar. does anyone have any recipes or advice to make eating this way easier? i am so frustrated.

Our food allergies are somewhat different, But I noticed that you have rice in your rotation diet.
Rice Bread
3 c.rice flour
2eggs
2 t. guar gum
1 T. oil
3/4 t. salt
1 3/4 c. water or just enough water to make a batter so stiff it's almost a dough
1 T. baking powder
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, mix thoroughly ,but don't over mix. Place bread batter in a greased bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until the bread no longer feels or sounds wet when you gently press the top with your fingers.

There is quinoa flour, and garbazo bean flour. These are better for making pancakes than bread. For sweetener try honey or stevia. You can drink and cook with soy milk. You can also make a

milk substitute from White lentils
Lentil Milk
1 lb white lentils (soaked for 8 hours)
Put 1c lentils and 3c water in blender, and blend for 3 to 5 minutes then pour into 8 quart pot. Repeat this until all the lentils used up. Bring mixture to a simmer, and simmer for 10 minutes stirring constantly over very low heat so you don't scorch mixture. Line a large collander with a linen type kitchen towel and strain mixture through towel in bathches. Force mixture through the towel by gathering up the corners and edges of towel trapping milk inside. Twist towel forcing milk through until all thats left in the towel is the pasty lentil fibers repeat until all lentil milk has been strained. I think it has a good taste and it's inexpensive to make, it is a lot of work though.
Can you eat chicken. Eat yams insted of regular potato or jicama. It looks like you can probably eat, beets, squash, Spinach, swiss chard, and collard greens. Hope I've helped.

Maybe you should get a second opinion... If you only notice pain/irritation from eating dairy, perhaps you're only allergic to that? Its just a suggestion, but if I were you I would get a second opinion before giving up all those foods!

Anyway, you can have soy milk in place of cow's milk, and there are tons of great tasting vegetarian and vegan cheeses/yogurts/ice cream out there that you can have in place of dairy. :)

Your doctor, is he really a M.D.? I doubt it. Allergic to sugar? NOT. Why do you believe these witch doctors?

You should check out the low carb recipes on different sites. They don't usually contain any of these ingredients. It sounds like you're forced onto the atkins diet except it doesn't sound like you can eat cheese. Try soy milk or one of the other alternatives. They also have some great soy ice cream with no milk although you may have to special order some foods due to living in kansas.

Maybe try becoming a vegan, person that doesnt eat meat or anything from animals ...eggs ...cheese ...milk. Kinda similar to what you are doing but since its an actual thing there are cook books and other things that sould help you.

Find a good health food store/ organic market in your area. Try soy milk as a substitute for the cow's milk; Spinach, kale, collards as a switch from broccoli; For protein, try veggie burgers (make sure they are gluten/grain free); If you like beans, use them to supplement your protein sources. Find a good cookbook on vegetarian cooking/ food combining -- you can start with Vegetarian Times magazine, or google vegetarian recipes. You might also want to consult a nutritionist. Good Luck!

My son is allergic to sugar and grapes along with some other foods. We use stevia as a sweetner. When we didn't use milk, we used rice milk. We still do when we have a cold, and don't want to have dairy. There are breads made without yeast, and there are breads made without wheat, but I don't know about one with no yeast and no wheat. You can use corn tortillas to make wrapped "sandwiches" and stuff.

Why can't you eat beef and potatoes?

I hope this helps. Good luck with that. I know how hard it is with my son's allergies.

Please have your doctor test you for celiac disease- a gluten intolerance. You will need to be consuming gluten products prior to the test for it to be valid. Celiac disease is an intolerance to gluten contained in wheat, rye or barley. It causes many different problems depending on the individual and if you quit eating gluten and your body heals, some of the other allergies may clear up.
As far as eating gluten, dairy free it can be done. There is a diet called gluten free casein free that people use for autistic children. People with celiac disease go gluten free and welcome the health they find once they get away from gluten containing products.
Whole Foods, Trader Joes and Wild Oats carry gluten free products, some of which are dairy free too. Your local grocery store may have a section too as well as Walmart.
