Chances are, the amoxycillin will either fix what the cream was intended to fix, or give you a yeast infection.

It's a very general antibiotic, which can actually cause a lot of problems, and I always ask for something else if the doctor prescribes it for me.

Considering that one is oral and one is topical, I don't see any reason why they would have unfortunate interactions with each other. It certainly wouldn't hurt to confirm this with your pharmacist...and while you're at the drug store, you might pick up some Monistat while you're there!

well, as long as the doctor says it's ok, because sometimes there can be drug interactions.

As Nicole said just call your local pharmacist and see, but it should be fine, the ER doc would of said something, unless you didn't mention it to him or her.

Prescribing two antibiotics is not so uncommon. It covers wide range of micro organisms and produces quicker results. If two doctors prescribe those, the latter should be informed about the antibiotic you have already been taking, to avoid any interaction.
Good luck!

ask the pharmacist to be sure...they know about all possible drug interactions!

ASK YOUR DOCTOR~!
