Cracked heels?!

Answers: what kind of cream of vitamins can my mom use for her cracked heels?

First of all, are the cracks there all the time?

If they are, chances are she has a little bit more than dry skin. Once the skin dries out, it becomes a portal of entry for bacteria and fungus. If her heels catch on her socks when she is putting them on, then she has a Tinea Pedis (foot fungus) and that needs to be looked after by a special product.

I recommend using Footlogix Anti-fungal 7x Foot Care Mousse. It has 1% clotrimazole, which is the strongest antifungal that you can get without a prescription. It also has 10% urea which helps to soften and hydrate the skin so it will not dry out.

I also recommend buffing her heels in the bath or shower using a pumice stone, or foot buffer available at any drug store, and then applying the Footlogix Foot Care Mousse.

You do not want to put mineral oils or vaselines on your heels as they are occlusive and prevent the skin from breathing and getting the proper oxygen exchange it needs to be healthy. Also, if your mom is diabetic, this can lead to some serious problems. Footlogix Mousse is actually formulated for people with diabetes and that makes it an awesome product for anyone to use.

You can go online at Footlogix.com and find out where it is available in your area. It is not available at any drug stores or pharmacies.

Lamisilk. you can get it from anywhere.. i got mine from walmart.

Tiger balm for your local pharmacy

try BagBalm it works like a charm.

Any lotion with vitamin E in it should work. I don't know if Nivea has vit E in it but it works really well too.

If it's real deep, see the doctor. Otherwise, slather up with Vaseline and put on cotton socks at bedtime. Do this every night until you have the feet of your dreams!

Then, you hafta keep at it to maintain the softness.

just get multi vits instead of solely one vitamin

but her heals are cracked because of her poor diet, which has led to her vitamin deficiency

she needs to get a foot scrubber!! it seriously works so well! but also try hemp cream!!! its like a miriacle cure! but scrub her feeet every shower!!!!!! well no you scrub but she should scrub her feet! the metal type workds the best! you can get them at the dollar store even!!!!

Any kind of skin moisturizing lotions will work the secret is to keep using it day after day after day

I got the problem only in the winter dry air does it we just have to learn to live with it and the hand lotion

Flexitol Heel Balm works very well. I use it myself

No Vaseline... it's petroleum (dries you out more then helps)

Try the foot section of the drug store for creams for cracked feet otherwise any pure and natural 'cream' and a pumice stone for the shower (when the crack heals) gets off dead skin - Also Vaseline (the brand not the product) makes a wonderful gel like oil (cocoa) it's wonderful for dry skin (for the bath or shower) she can also apply an antibiotic cream to the crack.
Keep covered (socks) around the house and after putting on a coat before bed.. take vitamin e orally and drink more water.
