Cold that won't go away?!
Question: I ave had a bad cold and it has left me with flem on my chest, I have tried all cold remedies with no avail. Any ideas.

Mucinex...if you haven't tried it already. Also, using a vaporizor (especially vicks ones) and/or a humidifier. And rubbing vicks vapo rub on your chest while you sleep.

SInus Infection, Allergies? Go to the Dr. You may need and anti-biotic. Or try MUCINEX, it supposed to get rid of that fluid. You can also try anything with Guiffanessin (SP?) in it, I know that there are couph syrups with that ingrediant. If you are coughing try a cough medicane labeled "expectorant"....Get rest, drink fluids.....good luck!
Are you coughing it up? If so I wouldn't worry too much. I would try to steam up you bathroom and then just take in deep breaths, don't get in the shower or tub just get in the steam. This willl loosen things up, or you can use a humidifier at night. Also, sometimes you may think you have a cold but not really. A thyroid problem can sometimes give you flu and cold like feelings, but you can get this checked out with a simple blood test.
