Yellow part in eye?!

Question: It's at the corner of my eye, but it's not bad?
Sometimes it gets worse.
I've had it since birth.

Could it still be jaundice? : /

hi,
I am a doctor..

It sems to be just the corner of the eye..
how about the other eye? is it completely normal?

Of course, if its present from birth, it could be gilbert's syndrome..There are few more diseases in the liver whic hcould give similar conditions..

but its unlikely to be a liver problem if it is from birth...
this may be even somebirth mark..

but to get it soughted out i would recommend you to see a doctor..

usually in icterus, the whole eye is affected, while both eyes are affected..
As a rule of thumb, icteric sclera indicates a direct bilirubin of at least 2 mg%, icteric sublingual membrane indicates a bilirubin of 5 mg%, and icteric tympanic membranes indicate a bilirubin of at least 10. Hemolytic anemia does not normally produce a bilirubin of greater than about 3, so if the mucus membrane under the tongue is yellow, suspect biliary or hepatic disease.

so, this may be something mild, but just for your safety, get it checked..

Feel free to write to me if you have more querries..

i would go have it checked.

can you get a pic up?

also i had the same thing.
and it turns outit was gilberts syndrome.
which is like mild jaundice.

i would definatly have it checked out.
because if it is that means you have liver problems.
so you have to be careful about a lot of things.
