Does anyone take tegretol (carbamazepine)?!

Question: About 2 weeks ago I was given tegretol and After about 2 days of taking the medication I felt like I had drank alot of caffine I felt so jittery The medication kept me awake for about 6 days straight.I counitued the medication to see if the symtoms would subside but after 3 weeks of not much sleep and just feeling super hyper all the time I had to switch medications.

For seizures? I have, but have been on depakote, phenabarbitol and now im on topamax. Tompamax has had the best results for me and no jitters . Taken at night it helps to sleep. ONLY side effect for me is loss of appetite.
