Help? carbon monoxide question?!

Question: the (gas) stove wasnt fully shut off; the knob was not fully turned on OFF. (almost but not quite) it got left like that for like an hour. i didnt hear any gas leaking though before i shut it off.

i have the doors open right now to let the air out. what are the chances of carbon monoxide poisoning? i dont feel sick or sleepy or anything. i dont know what else to do?

Carbon monoxide is a deadly killer. It is called the silent killer, as there is no smell, so you do not know if it is present in the atmosphere. If you think you may have a problem with your equipment, call in the gas company and get it checked. If you feel ok now, then you are ok. But be aware, it only takes 9 parts per thousand of it in the atmosphere to kill you.

I would call the fire department and stay out of your house until you know its clear to go back in. Also make sure the windows and doors are open.

you do not have to worry about carbon monoxide poisoning. you are ok. You feel ok, and you did the right thing by opening the doors
