It's true, they can't tell your parents anything.

Not sure

Nope, they can't. My niece actually had to sign a paper saying that her mom could get into her private OBGYN medical files.

It's your private file. They don't need to tell your parents anything unless their is a problem that needs to be treated.

Nope

They can't tell them anything.

yes not only can they tell your parents they should tell your parents

no strict patient doctor confidently

Nope. If you ask them not to! That is your business!

doctor patient confidenitality

doctor-patient confidentiality, so no i dont think so. a minor femal can get on birth control with out parents knowing, so...

Doctor patient confidentiality...your doctor can't tell them anything. If the come in the room with you all, that's a different story.

I think that depends on whose paying the bill.

Depends on who the doctor is. Some are honest and others will wink at you

I don't believe so, unless the OBGYN has reason to suspect abuse or danger to the minor; then they have a responsibility to report it.

I wouldnt think so.
If your worried about it ask your dr directly if she would do that or not.

Not without violating doctor/patient confidentiality, which is a violation of the doctor's ethics rules.

No, it's called patient confidentiality. They have to respect your privacy. I also hear it's hard for an OB to tell if you're a virgin or not anyway, I mean, at first. Even if you're pregnant, they have to let you tell your parents yourself.

I know plan parent hood keeps it confidential .

First, learn to spell.

Second, they only can break doctor/patient confidentiality if you're (proper spelling, please take note) in danger. Since you are a minor then your (this is how to use the word 'your') parents or guardian are still responsible for your ultimate safety, which is why.

Absolutely NOT.

That is correct. The law states that a doctor can not release information about a patient unless the patient directly states they can, or the patient states they are going to hurt themselves or a vulnerable adult or child.

Yes they can, & dey shood. Cus if somthin happned 2 u, ur parents SHOULD kno tha cause. DUH! So ur basically sayin ur a minor hoos havin sex, & is scard u gonna get bustd by a doctor, right? Ur dumb! LOL!

With the way the laws are today, it is probably illegal for one to reveal this information. But, the OB is not the one living with your parents. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to tell your parents of your sex life so that they may be able to give you vital information that you will need in order to help you deal with and understand all of the emotions associated with sex. And, trust me, there are some things that a parent will tell you that your doctor cannot.

That all depends on the information you and your parents put on the HIPPA forms that were filled out the 1st time you went to the dr. office, there is a place that you fillout who if anybody can be shared information about your health and treatments. So if your parents are listed in the forms then YES...if not then No.
