do not eat Any salt at all! Read all labels. Prop your feet up. Drink extra water-8 full glasses. If you do not have relief-go to the Dr.

well there is a pill called lasix that works wounders usually for removing fluid off the body. but if you say the pills don't work, have you tried excercising or moving around, that will start to move the fluid through your body and you'll probbly be able to remove most of it. hope this helps.

Check the meds you are taking. Some of them do have the side effect of causing edema!!! And get thee a reference appointment with a cardiologist as soon as possible!!!

If your feet and legs are swollen from retained water just think of what this is doing to your heart!!

Get that appointment NOW!!!

Exercise is key to remove fluid from your extremities. Limiting salt and sodium from your diet is crucial. If you are retaining water, you should visit your physician to make sure that your heart is functioning well and you have no other health issues.

Massage, massage, massage.
Being diabetic, make sure that the therapist knows and takes care (diabetics can bruise easily in massage), but it should really help (and it couldn't hurt - right?) Of course, you also should do as the other answer suggest, more water, less salt, more exercise too. Oh, and if you can't afford massage - do it to yourself!
