Facts..i need facts...Why is it when we sleep our saliva drip??!

Saliva is inside your mouth, and i think we both know if you close your mouth it doesnt exactly drip out, so when we are asleep and our mouth is catching flies, saliva slowly drips down onto our pillow making a big puddle of yucky spit!

Because it is the saliva that is always in your mouth, but when you are sleeping you don't swallow it, so it seeps out the corners of your mouth! Hope this helps!

I don't know, mine just completely dries up, I have an extremely dry mouth problem. I barely make saliva. I wake up and have to drink water! And it has to be cold, room temp water that i keep by my bed doesn't quench my thirst, I have to get up and get ice. I did have a parotid gland removed though, that's the one way at the back by your ear.
