I think she may be referring to the idea that fiber (found in veggies, but depending on how much you eat - if you eat veggies like most people who stick to the peas and carrots if anything) is high in complex carbs. Fiber fills you up and lasts longer than simple sugars.

Try eating denser veggies, starches and the like which may fill the emptiness in your belly and also keep you satisfied for longer. Add rice (brown), potatoes, whole grains which are all pretty low in calorie unless you add a bunch of fat to them. I am sure you know that you need to eat a bit of everything to be really healthy, so try adding things that you like. They also give you a lot of vitamins too.

A doctor once told me that NO ONE in the US (typical diet, of course) gets enough fiber which can lead to all sorts of great things like hemmoroids, colon probs, fissures, bleeding, etc. So if you have any intestinal problems, constipation, diarrhea, etc., it is very possibly because you aren't getting enough fiber.

i heard it helps to eat ur veggies last since you eat it slower or something it help keeps u fuller and wont want to eat more again later

drink a glass of water before you eat 70% of hunger is dehydration. drink water while your eating and chew every mouth full completely before swallowing

Hi first of all you question was in the Diabeties section are you Diabetic?

If you are Diabetics can sometimes get very hungry (i am Diabetic) but the problem is if we go eating the Carbohydrate food, it turns into glucose which gives us the engery, but is dangerous for Diabetics because it produces to much clucose and as we don't produce insulin fatty composits form and travel through our blood which put on the weight and the clusose formed is dangerous for us.I suggest you try to eat bigger portions of vegetables ie. carrots, silverbeat, but be aware that potatoe, Kumera (sweet potatoe) Pasta etc form carbohydrates. I spoke to my nurse the other day and she told me this information,As she also said it is a shame but our brains do not tell us we can't eat anymore being Diabetic, as far as it is concerned we are still hungry.
