Why don't doctors take Gilbert's syndrome more seriously?!

Question: I've been to 2 docs that say it's no big deal just live with it. I've also read a lot of blogs from people who say thier doc said the same thing!! What's the deal? For those of us that have it, it is a big deal!

Your doctor should be answering this for you. Although my opinion of doctor's is.... If they cant't treat it with a pill or cut it out then they treat certain ailments or diseases as "no big deal" or" live with it attitude". I do know how you feel about this.

Gilberts Syndrome is not a big deal. It is a slight elevation of the serum bilirubin. The is no known disease state associated with it. It can run in families. Do not worry about it.
