Do I have GERMAN MEASLES?!?!
Question: I'm 15 & I was vaccinated against it when i wasyounger.
But now me and my friend have like red spots on our bodies, they dont look like a rash because they're quite large red spots which start of really small but then grow. I have them on my stomach, legs, arms and starting on my arms. My friend has them really badly on her arms and legs.
I have just had a cold and i have a sore throat. My friend has ear ache aswell as just having a cold and she too has a sore throat.
Please help me as my mum is working with someone pregnant and doesnt want to give it to them because it's dangerous.

In German measles, there are red spots which are larger than the rash of measles. Usually, lymph nodes at the back of the neck are enlarged. Sometimes, there is joint pain. The patient looks flushed. There is low grade fever. The illness lasts for about a week. Get serum anti - rubella IgM done. If the titer is raised, then you have German measles.
Go see a doctor!!
