Whats this strange feeling?!
Question: I have a very strange sensation on my face. It feels as if I have a hair or a cobweb on my face which I can't get off. Its down the left side of my nose and I think it could be something to do with a nerve but I would be grateful for anyones' ideas on it . Thankyou.

Funny that you would ask this question because I was being seen by a neurologist for a seizure disorder when I too developed this strange sensation down my nose. He tapped my between my eyes which sent a wave of tingling down my face. He stated that there is a sensory nerve in that area that has become inflamed, probably due to some sort of virus. He stated that he could put me on prednisone but that it may come and go for the rest of my life, kind of like Bells Palsy, which affects a motor nerve. I chose to let it go and it does come and go from time to time. It is nothing serious but it is annoying.
i dont know what it is but iv had the same feeling, wash your face and put some cream on it should be solved!
Could be the start of a cold sore or shingles. Look up the symptoms on the net to help you diagnose.

I get a similar sensation when I am about to develop a mouth ulcer.
Yes, it sounds nerve related and should go away by itself. I have had this feeling before and it just disappeared after a while. If you're still in doubt, no harm in asking your doctor if it carries on.
i have the same probbelm, i always feel like its a hair but it goes away, so you should try to wash your face and you should be fine.
