How can you tell if you have a fever without a thermometer?!


Question: I dont have one (a thermometer) but my friend says she thinks I have a fever abit.
My skin like around my neck and face feels warmer than normal, also my throat is hurting and feels horrible and my skin feels abit more sensitive to normal, like when I wash my hands with cold water it feels really cold.

You can usually tell if youhave a fever whenyou feel very warm or even hot on any part of your skin surface, your face may be flushed, or you have chills. If you use your hand, use the back of it rather than the palm. From what you've described, you probably do have a fever and it's most likely a low-grade fever. The normal range is 97.6 to 99.6. 99.8 to 101.3 is a low-grade.

normal body temp is 98.6 degrees, if you are above that, especially above 100 you are running a bit of a fever

anything over 102 you should go to the doctor

you can feel your forehead and if it is warm then you have a fever. or you could go next door and ask a nehbior if you could borrow their thermometer. if that doesn't work then you could always go the doctors and find out if you have a fever.
