I'm worried about how I feel.?!

Question: For awhile now I have been having the symptoms of either Diabetes, or hypoglycemia. (not sure which one)

I eat, but not long after my body gets weak feeling, with no energy, fatigue, irritability, hungry, & headaches.

I know that i need to go to the doctor to get blood tests so that they can see what is going on with me. But it's scary!
I hate feeling like i never have energy to do anything anymore.

Also, I am not sure if this has anything to do with maybe having one of the two, but when my hands get cold, they start itching, then they get swollen, hard and numb. Anyone know what it could be from?

Thank you!

Nobody loves going to the doc. It can be really scary.

But think, don't you want your normal energy back?

I think you are right...you seem to be experiencing symptoms or diabetes or hypoglycemia.

Sometimes treatment is less complicated and scary than you may think. And no matter what, even if it means taking medicine daily or undergoing tests, you will feel so much better know that you got enough courage to go to the doc, that you went with your gut feeling.

So, grab a close friend or two for support...or even family and make the big step. Hey, you can even go out for lunch after or do something together that you like to do.

You will be so glad you did.

I hope you feel better soon. Good luck!

Don't waste your time looking for answers here, instead schedule an appointment with your general physician. Worry can cause more symptoms and the sooner you get the tests done, the sooner you will get help and get better.

I used to be just like you...I'd be terrified to go to the doctor 'cause I was scared that they would find something wrong with me. I've already got health issues so whether I like it or not I have to go to the doctor all the time. After I went to enough appointments I eventually got numb to the feeling of being scared so now it doesn't really phase me much.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to go to the doctor and be completely honest with him/her. Make sure you mention how scared you are just so that they can take steps to make you feel at ease. It's never fun going to the doctor but they are out there to help us. Don't get all worked up over something you may or may not have. You never know, you might go get checked out and the symptoms you've been having aren't anything to be concerned about.

Try to calm down a bit and don't think about your symptoms. I know it won't be easy (I've been there many times) but it's the best thing you can do for yourself.

Take care.

I checked for matching symptoms, and by no means should you take this as fact, but you could have chronic fatigue syndrom. This is just based on your symptoms. You need to go to the doctor for further tests.
