After consuming milk I feel fatique and shaky?!

Question: I can eat a bowl of raisin bran with whole milk. About an hour later I feel very tired. Several hours later I feel shaky as if blood sugar has dropped, weak and feel real hungry. I don't have the shaky episode everytime I drink milk but I do have the very tired fatique feeling every single time I have milk with my cereal. I asked my doctor last week about this, he shrugged and said he had never heard of milk causing this and he did not know the cause. He said to stop having milk but I still want to know why I can't have milk like everyone else. There must be a problem since I can't drink it and if there is a problem it needs to be adressed.
What and why is this happening?

Symptoms of milk allergy
Unlike a food allergy (which is triggered by small amounts of food and causes immediate symptoms), food intolerance symptoms appear hours, or even days, after consuming your problem food.

Common symptoms include:
Irritable bowel syndrome
Joint problems
Migraines
Muscle and joint pain
Depression and anxiety
Fatigue
Nausea and vomiting
Ulcers and hyperactivity in children

Try drinking soy milk and see if this resolves your problem.

I suffered the same sorts of symptoms after having milk each time and my doctor did tests and has diagnosed me as lactose intolerant. I have replaced my normal milk with soy milk and seen a terrific difference!

The problem is not the milk itself, it is the pasteurization, hydrogenation, growth hormones and antibiotics of poor quality milk that is the problem. Milk needs a certain amount of good bacteria in it otherwise it will become over run with bad bacteria, pasteurization kills almost all of the bacteria good and bad, the high heat also distorts the milk molecules and nutrients and becomes toxic to the body, not to mention all the added growth hormones and antibiotics that can produce all kinds of ill side effects. Try raw organic milk and see if you still have a problem.

Here in the UK there is a 'milk loaf' and when I eat that my blood glucose drops too.

whole milk or especially 2% milk and raisin bran will send my glucose to 300 for the next 48 hours!!!

Milk while being a mid range glycemic has loads of sugar that sends me to the moon.

All cereals and grains and most dried fruit do the same or worse.

Did your doctor do any blood testing? or just pat you on your cutie and say "watch the sugars" and go be good?

You probably need to find a new doctor!! Internist, Endocrinologist, or Osteopathic would be best. They, most of them anyway, actually listen to their patients.

Fatigue and shakey feeling can be caused by high glucose as well as low glucose numbers. Really do yourself a favor and go get a complete physical exam including blood work up.
