How can i hide my eating disorder from my doctor i have a physical in april?!

Question: I know how your feeling... probably not exactly but i have an idea. I went through this for two years before telling anyone. i had many doctors appointments and they never assumed anything. ( even after the first 50 pounds.) If you need to talk to anyone i am here and promise not to judge you. this is all your decision. no one call tell you what to do... but the results of your decision is no ones fault but your own. Good luck hun.

If you need to hide a disorder (any disorder), then maybe you should talk to the doctor about it.

Um, you shouldnt. Thats a rediculous question. The longer you hide it, the more apt you are to die from it. Its a bad thing. Why would you even ask a question like that on yahoo answers? People know, that eating disorders are stupid, unhealthy things. YOU HAD to know that you were going to get neg. feedback. Go get some help.

Instead of hiding the eating disorder from your doctor, ask him about getting some counseling to find out why you feel the need to have an eating disorder. Self image is important, but not when your life is at stake. I would rather be a bit overweight and be around to enjoy life, than to die skinny. Look at it this way, what if you go to the doctor and he tells you that you have a terminal illness and will die in six months....you would be devestated and want to fight to live -- well the same thing goes with an eating disorder, only you may live longer, but you are killing yourself. Seek some guidance from the professionals and have a long happy life. Good luck and God Bless you and I hope you asked this question because you are reaching out for help.

EDIT: Little Deer your answer is totally inappropriate -- would you tell someone who is threatening suicide to go jump off a bridge, or shoot themselves? Good grief have a little compassion.

I am not sure why you would hide it. There does not seem to be a benefit in that. It would be better to seek help. You must think that you have a problem or you would not ask the question here or wish to hide the condition. It might be better not to wait until April to see someone.
