My father in law is Mexican and when he gets hot sauce or salsa in his eye, he takes my hair and rubs it in his eye. He says it grabs it right out and won't scratch his eye. I tried it when my little girl got tabasco in her eye, it worked!
Time and much rinsing. Or a doctor... Give it lots of time.

probably burned the outter layer of his eye. if he does not want to be seen by a health care professional then he should rinse it out often and it will most likely heal within a few days.

go to doctor immediately, keep rinsing
Rinse the **** out of it. If it doesn't go away, call your ophthalmologist (eye doctor) and schedule an appointment. Urgent care centers also should have eye rinse chemicals
