I just got a chest xray and i'm waiting for results but..?!

Question: i don't exactly know how to feel about it...so here's the thing.
went to my doctor a week ago today for chest pain...all along the left side of my chest. it felt like stabbing pains and often felt very sharp, it hurt to take a deep breath and when i did i felt like my heart was racing too fast for me to even calm down..so my doctor thought it was just a musclular problem since he thought my back was very tense. so i went to the chiropractor, he thought it was just a rib out of place and it'll feel better soon.so i thought he'd be right, but yesterday it felt worse than ever so i went today...but my doctor said like last week my lungs sounded perfectly fine but he wanted me to get a chest x ray just in case (but i felt like he really meant," i don't know what's wrong so lets see what an xray will show") and i'm just really worried if it shows something, but if it doesnt ill just feel like this forever. im only 16, so this is really weird to me..any one know what to expect?

Try and stay chill until you get your x-ray readings. It sounds like your having anxiety attacks. Since your family has a history of heart disease, I would ask your Doctor if you could see a Cardiologist, if he finds nothing in your x-ray. Tell him you need to get to the bottom of it, because you won't walk around feeling like that and be told nothing is wrong. Maybe you just need some different meds. Like I said, try and stay chill and Good Luck.......I know the waiting is the hardest part......been there

Dont panic!! the doctor is just making sure its not any bone damage or anything.. also when you get the results and they are all ok it will reasure you that you are ok. maybe its just a stress/panic attack feeling... maybe you are just very tense... maybe you should do some relaxation.. but until you get your results dont panic.. your only 16

16 is very young to experience any serious chest issues. Pains of that type can be caused by a lot of different, minor issues. Getting concerned can create stress that is sure to make it feel worse. Relax and rest that side of your body in a comfortable position. There are muscles, tendons, and bones all along the left side of your chest, and bruising comes easy. If you agree to not to worry further, then look into www.webmd.com. Even a headache can have over 1000 different causes. I am confident all will be well.

i know this sounds really weird and random...but have you ever had any anxiety? my boyfriend was experiencing similar chest pains and racing heart...they even had him hooked to a 24 hour heart monitor to watch his heart for irregular activity. then he found out that it was anxiety. these attacks would happen even when he wasn't stressed out at all about anything, but once he was prescribed to xanax and took them whenever he felt like that he was fine. check it out.
