Pain of bone cancer?!

Question: I know that one of the symptoms of bone cancer is pain, but what is the pain like? If you have experienced this, could you tell me what it actually feels like. Is it a burning, stinging, stabbing, acheing, throbbing??? I have this constant pain in my upper arm that won't go away. It actually feels like a broken arm, but I know it is not that. Without getting too carried away here, I just want to know if it is worth looking into. I have had this for several months now and is gradually getting worst. Any thought? Thanks.

The likelihood that you have bone cancer is very slim. That said, any pain that lasts longer than two or three weeks SHOULD be assessed by your doctor. If she cannot provide you with a satisfactory answer or requisitions for tests, ask to see a specialist. Don't take NO for an answer.

Anytime you have constant pain, it is worth looking into. It may or may not be cancer, but you should still try to find out what it is.

I am not sure. My Grandmother died of it, and from what I gather it causes pain so intense that no amount of medicine can alleviate it without killing the patient. My Grandmother died begging my Mother to help her end her life.

I get a pain in my upper arm about once every 2 yrs and it hurts so bad I thought something must be missed. It went bone deep and I only managed to get relief when I positioned my arm in a non dependent position.
It goes away after about a month and my doctor thinks I have the symptoms of a pinched nerve. I am not sure what it is.
