There should be a jack opening on the bottom of your meter which you can plug a USB cord to. You can buy the One Touch software and computer cord separately for about $30.00. I use this software. Your meter should have come with any offer for both to be bought separately.
There are about 6 charts you can use to track you glucose levels. I have had mine over a year. Your One Touch Ultra will hold about 120 days worth of data for twice a day sampling. The software has managed all my data for over a year.
I print out my 90 day glucose trend and hand to my doctor during my visits. You HbAIc reading will show a 90 day average. My print out shows spikes. Generally, the spikes are when I loose discipline. Together both tests help me manage my diabetes very will.
Penny, most meters now adays are compatible with the home computer. When you are out looking, check the box of the meter that tickles your fancy and see if it has the computer software and cord with it, or if there is an opportunity to purchase seperately. From my experience, they never come with it. You almost always have to order it seperately
