Cure for HIV and Hepatitis C Discovered - Your thoughts?!

According to the link above, a new medical break-through discovered in turning a patient's blood into it's own vaccine agent to kill the virus. Talking to a few people, I came to the idea that this invention is insane. This discovery could impact humans like nothing ever before.
I was just curious to see what you guys think about it, or those who have already heard about it, what's your reaction? thoughts?

I can't seem to hear a single word of the video "Fact Finders"; however, even if there is a possible cure for such diseases, it will still be a long time coming.
It will have to go through rigorus testing on a variety of test subjects before they can even bring a report to the FDA. Then the FDA has to go through the process of approving this new cure and so on. We are talking years.
My husband has Hep C. I am under the impression that when you have a virus, it never dies, just becomes inactive. Chicken pox is also a virus that stays in your body and can cause shingles later in life. If the discovery was really true, I think we would have heard it from the news stations and our doctors. ( those being treated) I doubt if it's true.
The first thing that came to my mind when I read this was that new movie "I am Legend". When I watched your link, a few things definitely reminded me of the movie. I am not sure how this will go over, but I guess we'll see.
