Is a cyst a type of a lesion ? Or are they 2 completely different things?!

Question: Example: Can you have a cyst but not have a lesion?

Answers: Example: Can you have a cyst but not have a lesion?

a cyst is a sac that is filled with water or sometimes pus. a lesion is a diseased or infected patch of skin. and yes you can have a cyst without having a lesion. i have cysts on my ovaries because i have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. i dont have any lesions.

Yes. I believe cysts are growths, tumor like, but not cancerous. Not lesions. Lesions are like an open wound (internal or external, I think).
I've had ovarian cystys cronically since I was 16 (20 years) and the first one they extracted was the size of a golf ball. Some can be lazered off (laparoscopy)
