Each drug affects each individual person differently. I lost weight on Prozac! Only a doctor could and should suggest medication to you. Best of luck!

Wellbutren, Its the only antidepressant that does not affect your sex life.

i dont think you should take anything for depression. i think you should seek counseling instead. nobody really knows the long term affects of these chemicals you are putting into your body, they havent been around long enough. if you want to live a long, healthy life you should look for safer options. i was on multiple medications when i was younger. zoloft, prozac, lexapro, seroquel...messed me up more than i needed to be. caused bad effects that messed up my health.

Well, it honestly varies a lot for everyone. It is mostly trial and error sadly.

I was on Celexa (Citalopram) for about 4 weeks.
For the first week i took a 10 mg dose, and I had horrible side effects. Nausea, dizziness, weakness.. all that jazz
and for 2 weeks it really helped and no side effects at all.
After that, i started getting memory loss, starting spelling things funny, headaches, blurred vision. So I immediatley had to switch.
I went back to my doctor and he switched me onto another medicine that is in the same 'family'. It is called Zoloft (Sertraline).

With both I have had weight loss of about half a kilo. That is very normal for these two brands.

Personally I think that prozac is over reccomended... and if you are having serious symptoms, talk to your doctor as soon as you can
