1st of all. It's rare that someone "suddenly has an attack". What you are talking about is SDS, Sudden Death Syndrome. 2nd of all, before a heart attack you get signs. Your dad should get sweaty. . . complain about chest pain. . . his left arm or shoulder should get numb and most importantly he will get stubborn! Don't take no for an answer if you see these symptoms call 911. You can save his life before he gets it.

Call 911
Start CPR 30 compressions to 2 breaths
and call relatives
First call 911 then give him a baby aspirin if hes breathing, if not do cpr.
call 911 before you do anything else. call at the fist symptom. do not wait. do not hesitate. even if your dad says to wait.
then give him 4 baby aspirin to chew.

Call 911. Know ur CPR. Have automatic electronic defibrillator on hand. The defribrillator is much more helpful than CPR alone.
Give him an aspirin, and call 911. In that order.
If he uses Nitroquick, give him one every five minutes up to three pills.
