Question: i'm a diabetic and been pricking my penis for the blood. it doesnt hurt and i get more blood. does anyone know if this will have a bad effect?

The penis is so sensitive, even more so than a finger id say. I havnt checked blood sugar in over 6 weeks. Isreal have made a blood sugar monitor that doesnt require making yourself bleed http://medgadget.com/archives/2006/02/th...
WHOA! I have no idea...sorry I can't really contribute to this question, but why can't you just prick your finger like all the other diabetics I've seen
Ok, diabetic glucose testing monitors have only been tested using finger stick blood samples or from the forearm. The blood samples you are obtaining may not be as accurate. You can ask a Dr., but, please follow the directions for your particular monitor.

What are you thinking? Why do you need so much blood anyway? Most meters these days only need a tiny bit.
If you don't want to stick your fingers, the use the palm of your hand or your forearm. I'm sure that if you told your doctor that you use your penis for blood sugar levels, it might be several minutes before he can pick his jaw up of the floor to say something.
I have never heard of anyone doing that. People will use their earlobes before resorting to below the waist...penis is a new one.
