Answers: Every day I ceap on geting drainage in my throat

Oprah featured an item with Dr. Oz, it's called a Neti Pot. Check it out....works for me whenever I have mucus...!

I dont know wish I did I have the same problem. My dr. just puts me on pills and talks about surgery hope that helps

"Ceap"??? Did you mean "keep"?

It depends on the cause of the drainage. This sounds like postnasal drip which is primarily allergic. It can also be caused by an undiagnosed sinus infection (sinusitis). You will have to have yours diagnosed to know which is the cause of it. Sinusitis is treated with an antibiotic.

For PND (postnasal drip) related to allergies, no single med or combination of meds seems to work for everyone. For some, a combination of antihistamine and decongestant is effective. For others, a nasal spray is enough. For still others, antihistamine, decongestant and nasal spray is needed. Even the kind of antihistamine may make a difference. Zyrtec may work for one person while Claritin works better for another. Products containing loratadine may be better than those containing diphenhydramine. A corticosteroid nasal spray works better for one person than the other. It's a matter of trial and error to find what works for you.

It sounds like you have sinus problems, the trick is to drink lots of water and juices to thin out the mucus in the back of your throat. I have chronic sinusitis and my doctor told me that I can get surgery to remove it. They basically go up in there and break up the mucus and suck it out. If your drainage has just started, you may have a sinus infection and should be seen by a doctor to be put on antibiotics to clear it up.
