PID is serious buisness and usually related to a history of STD (although not all the time). The antibiotis will cure the infection, but most women will have scaring in their falopian tubes which can lead to infertility. The risk of ectopic preganancy is also increased with a history of PID. It's estimated that 10 - 20% of women with moderate to severe PID will have problems related to scarring and reduced fertility. To a certain extent, fertility problems can be reversed with carful removal of scar tissue to restore the normal fallopian tubes.
At this point, try not to worry too much about it and focus on finishing you medication and treating the problem. When time comes to have kids, you may have no problems at all, and if you do, be sure to talk to your doctor about your history of PID. In the meantime, remember to practice safe sex until you're sure you are with the right guy.
