2 wisdom teeth growing, weird taste?!


Question: i don't have dental insurance so i can't go see a dentist AT ALL....

...but i have a wisdom teeth growing on each side. it doesnt hurt, but around that area, it has a weird taste/foul smell. i know it's not gingivitus cause i brush my teeth usually twice a day and floss. it that normal to have that smell? what can i do to get rid of the smell?

If it's a tangy metallic taste, it's probably blood. This should stop when the teeth are fully erupted.

A foul nasty taste (like moldy bread, only worse) is pus, indicating an infection. This could result from sub-gingival impaction - a condition more common if your wisdom teeth are coming in late.

Its an infection... you need to do something about it eventually. It goes from not hurting to being extremely painful in almost no time. I just got all four of mine taken out last week.

You are going to have to see the denist either way ....
