It depends on the nasal spray. Do not spray and sniff at the same time. You can damage your tissues in your nostrils.
Saline nasal spray has you squirt into one nostril and it should come out of the other nostril.
Most most normal nasal spray use your opposite hand to apply the spray. You do this so you dont directly point the bottle up your septum. If you do it can damage it.
There are several over the counter items that is says for sinus pain. The problem with those is if you use them constantly you become dependent on them. By which i mean if you stop using the spray it gives you bad sinus headaches.

im really not sure how to use it sorry.. just sounds like a weird thing to do. anyway one of my teachers told me that if you use nasal spray for more than three days you get addicted so BEWARE! =]

After blowing your nose into your facial tissue, inhale the nasal spray. Repeat steps one and two.

you're supposed to squirt and sniff once in each nostril
and if gives you headaches then stop using it & lay down for awhile

Read the instructions. At best you squirt and sniff.

i think that u should lean over to one side if you want to clear up the nasal passage or ask the pharmasist how to best use the nasal spray.

Usually you squirt (as many times as directed) in both nostrils and inhale very deeply.

look at the site listed, step by step instructions

keep in mind:
Nasal decongestants work fast to open breathing passages. But if you use them for more than three days in a row, you may suffer a "rebound effect" and end up more congested than you were at the start. Some doctors suggest using a saline spray instead of a medicated spray. Saline sprays work more slowly but have no rebound effect.

They way to use a nasal is tilt ur head back just a little not all the way stick the spray in your nose just about 25% in ur nose and squirt

You need to take other decongestant to help with the stuffiness and congested headaches. Take the sprayer and insert in nostril. Use other free hand to close other nostril. Squeeze/pump sprayer and as you spray, breath in. It will take the medication up to your sinuses to free the mucous and debri. It takes time to break up those mucous plugs and green/yellow drainage. Keep doing this as indicationed on your medicine. Get some rest. Drink plenty of fluids. I suggest gatorade. At night, take some nyquil. You should get some sound sleeping done and your headache should be getting better. Good Luck with that.

through your nose

First - Try a saline solution. There are several over-the-counter products readily available at your pharmacy. Steroids often do more harm than good! My husband has had much relief using salt water. Stand up straight, insert applicator and inhale as you squeeze the bottle. Wait a moment and then go about your business. Good luck!
