UTI question! please help if you can?!

Question: Ok, I took a blood and urine sample test a few weeks ago, and since yesterday I have had symptoms of a possible UTI (uirnary tract infection)

I know this sounds silly, but they couldn't detect the infection in the urine sample from 2 weeks ago, correct?

Do I need to go to the doc for another test??

Thank you so much....

You probably developed the infection after the urinalysis was done. You will need to go to the doctor to repeat it. The doctor can do a dipstick test which is done right away and can determine if you have an infection.
Good luck and feel better!

Yes you should go to your doctor for another test.

In the mean time....DRINK LOTS AND LOTS OF CRANBERRY JUICE!!! Try to drink at least a half a gallon in one day! It'll take care of that right away.

drink lots of cranberry juice first!! call your dr about the test but im pretty sure they ve already disposed of your sample. so if they didnt test for uti youll have to go back.

Cranberry Juice....100% Juice...the 64 oz bottle and drink about an 8 oz glass an hour plus 8 oz of water. It will clear it right up in about 24 hours and it does work. You don't want to go back to the doctor becasue they will give you antibiotics which will in turn give you a nasty little yeast infection to go along with that UTI.

UTI are very common epically in women. No need to go the the doc unless it is bothersome to you. The body it self can take care of a lot of things. Just make sure when going to the bathroom wipe front to back and when having your period do not leave a tampon in longer than the recommended time.

ARGGGGGHHHH!!!! I am so sick of people on here telling other people that cranberry juice is a cure for UTI! It IS NOT A CURE....REPEAT....NOT A CURE. Cranberry juice is a preventivie measure. It works by inhibiting bacterial growth by making your urinary tract more acidic. It has no effect on an infection that is already there....
If your urinalysis (UA) was two weeks ago, and you just got symptoms yesterday, they most likely wouldn't have been able to tell. It only takes about a week for most bacteria that infect the urinary tract to proliferate enough to cause symptoms. You should go back and have another UA done. In the meantime you can go to the drugstore and get AZO, which will help to alleiviate the symptoms.

you should
