Sounds like you have OAS. I have it too. I cannot eat any raw veggies, nuts, soy, seeds and fruits (except for citrus and seedless grapes and watermelon).

It's due to pollen allergies and is easily manageable and may be cureable for you. I barely notice my pollen allergies alone, and have the strongest reactions when I eat the raw foods.

Have you tried thouroughly cooking the fruits? This will destroy the proteins that are causing you allergies.

Go see your allergist to determine what pollens your allergic too and he/she will recommend a good antihistamine and tell you if you're a good candidate for allergy immunology shots, which after years of treatment will reduce or eliminate pollen-related allergies in most patients.

For now, try cooking fruits and keep a good anti-histamine like Benadryl handy.

your not the only one!

my cousin CJ is allergic to every fruit except grapes. he gets the same thing as you, the itchy throat and you feel like you can't breathe. I know its hard, but you probably shouldn't eat any, but, you can do what my cousin does (and i keep telling him not to) but if he takes allergy medicine and has a cold diet coke, he eats the fruit then washes it down his throat with the coke, that way, there is no fruit taste left, it sorta cleans your mouth and throat because of all the bubbles and caffeine. remember, dnt do it if you are SERIOUSLY allergic, but try this if you can!

follow up with your allergist. always carry liquid Benedryl and your Epi-pen.

Stay away from them.
