I have diarrhea all the time and...?!

Question: Ever since I can remember, I only have "hard" stool about 1 - 2 times a month, the rest is diarrhea. I'm not seeing a doctor due to no insurance. Has anyone else ever had this, and / or know what this is or how to fix it?

My stomach never hurts...it's just the normal poop feeling...

I would try drinking that orange metamucil powder mixed in with water. Tastes like crapola, but it really works. It has a lot of fiber in it, and helps make U regular. If it doesn't clear up with Metamucil, I would go to the Dr. anyway and just be honest, tell them U don't have insurance, and that you need a sample. They are usually more than friendly to help you out like that!

There is a possibility that you have a bacterial infection in your intestines/stomach/etc... You might need antibiotics! I wouldn't put it off. Your health is more important than anything else. Feel better!

eat more solid stuff and stuff with fiber

You are probably Lactose intolerant.

I would say try as hard as you can to get into a doctor.

Sounds like you have irritable bowel syndrome, you can get a prescription to help that.

You could have IBS. Its a fairly common condition. I have seen over the counter drugs one actually called IBS i beleive. I took these for a while and it really seemed to help.

It also could be a problem with your diet. If you eat a lot of fatty or greasy foods, or if you drink a lot of milk, that could be the problem as well. I suffer from IBS, and i know what it is like.

go to a free clinic. you need to see a Doctor!

You may have an intolerance for fat. Do you eat a lot of burgers, milkshakes and french fries, butter, mayonnaise, ice cream etc.? If so, try some leaner foods for a couple of days and see what happens. You don't have to completely eliminate fats, just cut down on them.

You're not eating right? Too much food your eating? I have that all the time..but only because I eat too much food high in fiber and fats, etc. I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's just the foods your eating.

i have the same problem for bout 10 months, im goin to hospital in a few weeks for tests to check for cancer, you should see someone, it could be anything....

Lack of fiber ,Foods you eat.If you have blood in stool better see a doctor.Public hospitals have to take you ,insurance or not.

Is the water you consume safe? Try drinking boiled water for a month and see if your hard stool is more frequent. Papaya, Nuts, Milk and yoghurt also cause runny poop (:P).

u most def want to get it checked out could be some type of colitis, either way does not sound good. I know what u mean about not having insurance it sux, but sounds like somthing is not working properly atleast get to a "walk in clinic," it's generally cheaper.

I'd take a serious look at my diet. If you are eating fast foods or processed foods( anything that comes in a box or is pre-prepared) you may not be getting enough fiber or whole foods. You also may be experiencing a allergic reaction to foods or beverages that you are eating or drinking.

Your stool should not be hard or too soft. It should be firm, but not hard and you should be going one to two times a day everyday.

I agree, you should see a doctor. There are some free clinics around for those who don't have insurance. Check with your county/city health department to see if there is one in your area. I wish you the best.
