Answers: My brother has this problem .Sometimes he feel burning sensation after he takes his meal.

This is commonly due to transient or permanent changes in the barrier between the esophagus and the stomach. This can be due to incompetence of the lower esophageal sphincter (LES), transient LES relaxation, impaired expulsion of gastric reflux from the esophagus, or a hiatal hernia. Avoid acid forming foods.
Consult the Gastroenterologist.

yes, heart burn

If he suffers from reflux he might have. I have a friend who suffered from reflux right from when he was a child, he has had a couple of surgeries. I'd take him to a doc and have it checked out.

it's heartburn and yes, even an 11 year old can get it.

he can try chewing 1-2 tums after eating-this should help. but he should only use them if the burning sensation is present.

he can also try drinking milk with his meals-this will help absorb any excess acid.

if it continues and is frequently a problem-he should make an appt with his dr to have it checked out. my daughter had this when she was only 3 months old and i had to give her medication for it-she eventually outgrew it.

good luck!!

Absolutely, it's it very possible. I would consider talking the child to a physician. Heart burn could be a sign of other possible complications. If this started happening recently, I would take him as soon as possible.

yes but he might have an infection by compilobacter pylori....he needs to see a gastroenterologist
