Does osteoarthritis cause uveitis?!

Question: Uveitis is often associated with some arthritic conditions; it is not necessarily caused by the arthritis, they just tend to "run together" for some reason, for example in rheumatoid or some types of reactive arthritis.

Osteoarthritis is usually caused by years of wear and tear on the joints, and most of us will eventually get this if we live beyond age 30. Are you sure that the arthritis is indeed osteo- and not a different kind of arthritis?

I don't know of real link from osteoarthritis to uveitis but some causes of uvetitis are unknown. Most cases of uvetitis are tied to auto immune diseases such as Rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis.

Hope that helps.
