What is wrong with my fingers?!

Question: A couple of weeks ago my fingertips on my left hand started feeling a little tingly and were semi-numb for a few days. Then the skin started getting shiny and wrinkly.

The feeling has returned to my fingertips by the skin is still shiny and wrinkly, it's almost as if I had kept them in water for a while, but they are like that 24/7. They don't hurt, but they do seem to be a bit more sensitive to heat.

I am right handed and the skin on my right hand is completely normal.

Has anyone ever experienced anything like this or know what it might be? I am not in pain, and it's not bleeding or anything so I didn't warrant a trip to the doctor, I was just curious what it might be. Thanks!

I'm not sure if this is the same but I have that and I actually just put euricin on it's getting a lot better.

OK, now you really need to see a doctor. It could have been a circulation problem (blood clot, maybe). If circulation is blocked, the nerves go numb. When the nerves are kept from a blood supply for too long, the nerve tissue will die or become damaged. You will experience a change in how you feel things. Prime example - more sensitivity to heat, cold, etc. Also, look into Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. I am not sure, but I think is is usually worse in the left hand. Was it all the fingertips? CTS usually is the 2nd, 3rd, and half of the 4th finger that go numb. Either way, you need to see a doc to rule out anything that could become an emergency (such as a clot-esp if you have a history of them) A problem like that definitley warrants a trip to the MD-pain or not!

i dont know waht that really could be but i would go see a doctor!=]

some sort of chemical burn, diabetes, something that should be seen by a Dr. for sure whatever it is why fool around and risk losing fingers?
