How can you imagine getting over your 60+ BF having a stroke-coma-dying in a wee!

Question: He was "courting" me he said ... i'm 45 in two weeks ... he wanted to buy a ring - he asked if i would wear it - he being 63 and me 44 - asked if i could ever 'take' another husband (after 2 sad ones) - i said YES to both - after leaving one day he said, "I CARE ABOUT YOU!" i know he did - so i bought a right hand ring for myself "FROM HIM." His medication might have killed him - he was taking blood pressure / blood thinners - he had a stroke and aneurism followed somehow.

If he was on blood thinners then he probably had already had a stroke or aneurism before, making him high risk for another. The medication wouldn't have caused it.

I don't know how you get over it. I'm still not over (and probably never will be) a girlfriend who died on me about 5 years ago. The best I can say is that line from Sleepless in Seattle....

"Well, I'm gonna get out of bed every morning... breathe in and out all day long. Then, after a while I won't have to remind myself to get out of bed every morning and breathe in and out... and, then after a while, I won't have to think about how I had it great and perfect for a while."

Golly Miss Molly, that's rough. At least you maybe made his last days happy ones.

If you're suffering from grief, I'd suggest seeing a psychologist.

Boo hoo. Plenty of old men left out there for you.

Sorry to hear that, but whats your question?

He's in a much better place. You have to move on!!!

I could imagine getting over it if my name were Anna Nicole.

I think you know what to do after the heart break of 2, so my condulance to you.

I hope it will ease soon.

If he was on blood thinners there is a chance he had a stroke or TIA earlier no guarantee. If he was taking aggrenox I would suspect a prior TIA or CVA (major cardiovascular event). Also part of the treatment is medications for blood pressure as one of the guidelines for stroke prevention is lowering of blood pressure. What happens with a lot of patients is that at first they have a small TIA which is basically a mini-stroke, then after that for a small period of time they are at a high risk for having a major hemorrhagic event. In other words after having a small stroke the odds of having a major bleed (aneurism) is extremely high. I am sorry about your loss, my best advice is talking with friend and family and if they don't seem to help you might have to see a therapist. But it's ok a lot of people do, it's a tough world. I hope the best for you.
