Skin irritation?!

Question: i used a ziana gel on my face and it got severe irritation. my dermatologist prescribed hydrocortisone to soothe my skin. After a few days, it started to heal. all of a sudden today, i got so many rashes, and my skin is irritated again. I didn't even use any makeup or anything recently on my skin. what could be the cause?
