Well, it could be simple things like: too much caffeine, stress and anxiety, nightmares (even if you don't remember them), over the counter meds, or a handful of diet-related issues.

On the other end of the spectrum is some type of heart arrythmia. They're common enough but left with out supervision and untreated could actually be life-threatening.

A physician would give you a check up, ask questions about your diet and life style and give you an EKG and possibly put you on a heart monitor for a period of time and come up with a diagnosis.

Very rarely a heart disorder that you were born with would show up this late in life--although you are only nineteen if you were fairly active when you were younger this would have shown up.

I would say even high blood pressure could have some of these same symptons.

I pray that God give you wisdom and your physician wisdom to help you through whatever is going on.

God Bless You.

i've had the something similar happen to me. I had some tests done on my heart, and they couldn't find anything wrong. They think it may be stress related. Good luck at the doctor. And the tests are nothing to be worried about. Its just a couple scans, and u may have to wear a monitor for 24 to 48 hrs.

Go to the doctor and get an ecg done. Most likely to be nothing but still get it checked out.Good luck

Anxiety or Sleep Apnea

i went thru that years ago. they made me wear a hear monitor to monitor my heartbeat throughout a 24 hour period. they found it was nothing, and by the time all was said and done, i found out it was caffeine. i was drinking too much of it. i cut back - way back, and those symptoms disappeared. good luck at the Dr..

How much water do you drink???
I would think it could be simple as not enough water and too much intake of caffeine...or it could be more serious. I am no Doctor.

I took more than recommend of ibuprofen the other night by accident and woke up with my heart beating fast and dizzy- my eyes were hurting...I know that it was my sinuses& a cold but I really think that too much ibuprofen gave me the other side affects.

I will pray the best for You.
