Need answer from some one with experience with this situation. On and off sinus !

Question: 2 different doc's have suggested I get my adenoids removed. I'm also terminal cancer patient and would like to avoid surgery if possible. I spend enough time in hospitals. The nasal saline has seemed to help, but does any one else with these type issues have experience with things that help reduce the pain and expidite the healing? I'd be so grateful.

I'm so sorry for what your going through. I use a sinus rinse every morning. It can be done twice a day also if your feeling really bad. It's by Neilmed and it's a sinus rinse kit. Basically what it does is flush out your sinuses. It works great, has helped me tremendously. The only place I have been able to get them is in a hospital out patient pharmacy. Or go to www.neilmed.com and you can buy one off line. You will need the kit with the bottle, should be around $12.00, then after that you can just buy the saline packets to mix with the water. Check it out.....hope that helped.............Good Luck & God Bless

I am sorry that you are suffering so much I wish I could help take away some of your discomfort. I got a bad sinus infection a couple of months ago and I took sinus allergy (non drowsy) gelcaps. They were from CVS pharmacy. The pressure from your inflamed sinuses is causing the swelling and its putting pressure on your ears. Mine got so bad I had awful earaches, but the liquid gelcaps really helped and I took them 3.5 hours apart and it did wonders for me! Also, I found out is a direct reaction from 2nd hand smoke in my apartment building. If u have frequent sinusitis they can be really sensitive to a number of things, so allergy medication might really help.
