Answers: any bloating etc...? and how fast does it get to working, and how long does the immodium work for?

I have IBS and have loved immodium because it works fast, not only to relieve the digestive nightmare, but also the cramping. Start by following the instructions, take 2 to start and if the next time you go to the bathroom and your butt is exploding, take another. You can have up to 8 in a 24 hour period, but usually it works within 20 minutes and always with the second dose.

It works ok, i wouldnt say with a speed of light. I say peptol bismol is way better way to go. At least it effects me in next 10 min. Immodium like any other pill will take time to dissolve so I say it will take up to 30 min. Immodium dont have any serious side effects. I would take only one or two a day. If you have such a condition where you have to take more then you might want to get yourself checked.

Any time I've ignored my own common sense and have taken Immodium, I get bloated, my stomach goes rock hard and the pressure in my gut causes other body aches. Horrible stuff. It also doesn't allow you to clear your body of what is causing the diarrhea in the first place.

If you've got diarrhea, try Smecta powder. Ask your doctor about that. I believe it's quite commonly available and has never given me any side effects. You mix it in a little glass of water and drink. Just helps stiffen things up a tad :-)

Spanky: You seem allergic to Immodium.

Pharmacy Tech

It not bad in a pinch but if you use it too much you might get a tummy ache or constipation.
