Do certain viruses and infections spread faster in the heat?!

Question: My office is over 30 degrees centigrade, which is unbearable and I was wondering if the cold, coughs and shingles were spread faster because of this?

In the UK you are legally permitted not to work in an environment that is that hot - I think the limit is 24 degrees C..

Germs have optimal temperatures where the can proliferate - unfortunately this window matches many of the temps at which we fell comfortable

Most viruses and bacteria thrive in warm and moist environments. There are some exceptions but this is the general rule.

Warm temperatures can cause bacteria to live and flourish on surfaces, causing wider spread contamination.

As for the shingles, they are spread by contact with open lesions, not airborne.

Heat probably will not speed up the spread of a cold.

ditto treo my dad told me that

Lucky you. Most of us have to catch a plane to enjoy that climate. No, 30 deg will make not a lot of difference. But if the air is just recirculated, it will help spread any infection that's airborne. Also, close proximity is more important than temperature in helping spread. If it helps to open a small window, try to do that.

i thing just scan that easy right

warm and moist is ideal for virus transmission..they can live longer outside the host in that environment
