Blocking a sneeze, what does it cause?!

Question: Alright, I always block my sneezes some air passes by but i never sneeze full out. So i literately block it and barely any air passes by. Is this bad? what are the effects? im in my late teens, should i be worried of any future problems of is it ok to keep doing this?

This will definitely cause problems. The reason you sneeze in the first place is to get rid of something that is an irritant or to clear mucus. If you hold back the sneeze, you force the gunk into your ears and sinuses, and you can actually tear your eardrum. The healthiest thing to do is let 'er rip and cover your nose and mouth with your sleeve, napkin, etc.

Not too keen! Pressure in your ears might occur.
Keep tissues handy!

as weird as it sounds its healthy to sneeze....holding in a sneeze causes pressure in your sinuses...that can cause an infection...a sneeze is a way to get those germs out...so if you dont have a kleenex sneeze into your elbow.

It can also lead to you wetting yourself if your bladder is full and you have weak pelvic muscles ( or when you are pregnant) so watch out, a bad habit to get into if you are female but you are not so this wont apply to you I hope!

It's not that good, can break a blood vessel.
