I have a strange sensation in what feels like behind my throat. It happens every!

Question: in a while. I am not sick and it's not a cold-like symptom. It feels like a dull ache. I also don't smoke. I don't have insurance and don't want to see a dr if its nothing.

I've been getting that since I was a child. I am now 30. It is nothing to be worried about. I usually swallow hard and the dull ache goes away or it just lasts under a minute. I get this feeling maybe twice a year. I think it is just a muscle spasm in the throat. If it starts to happen more often and the sensation changes, then I suggest you see a doctor.

Try drinking glasses of milk with honey & pepper. It might ease the ache & smoothen ur throat.

If it is like you swallowed something and it did not go down your throat, stuck, and you can not swallow it anymore? I have that and Rolaids didn't help. I had to go to Prilosec OTC. It works great but you have to take it for a week before it works the best. It is called acid reflux. Hope this helps.

sounds like it could be tonsillitis, have a look and see if ur tonsils are swollen, they may have bits of pus on them if u do. is it hard to eat, or drink?? best way to be sure if u should be worried is to see your dr, it may be something, it may not be anything, he/she can have a looksie and say yay or nay if there is anything wrong... dont let me scare u about tha tonsillitis, is only a thought, i gots it at the moment, and a course of antibiotics should clear it up. but like i said, unless it goes away, there's only one way to find out
