Reaction to latex gloves but not condoms?!

Question: Is it possible to be allergic to surgical/dental gloves and not latex condoms?
i took the precaution of using non latex condoms first but have recently found out i dont have an intolerance to them. Is there an explanation? Im still reactive to gloves though..

If you experience a runny nose, or sneezing while wearing gloves, but no reaction at all while wearing condoms, there's a good chance that you are only reacting to the talc or cornstarch used to powder the gloves. If you get a rash on your hands after wearing gloves, it may be due to local irritation from sweating, and not the latex.
Latex allergies, true latex allergies, involve the classic signs of an allergic reaction, which are rash, swelling, itching, and possibly wheezing and respiratory problems.
There is a blood test, called a RAST, which you can take to determine if you are truly allergic to latex, or only experiencing a local irritation reaction. True latex allergies can be quite lethal, so it's worth the piece of mind, especially if your job involves wearing gloves on a regular basis.
